The final day of the trail today is an easy walk through thick pine plantations. After about 5 km of following a jeep track, the trail reaches the end of the Tsitsikamma adventure at the Boskor Trading Post where our team is to be collected by bus. After celebrating the completion of the hike, they will be treated to a light lunch.

This Garden Route region is home to some of the most extensive areas of forest in South Africa. These afro-temperate forests are of national importance and are between 3 and 7 times richer in tree species than other temperate forests in the Southern Hemisphere. This naturally leaves a lasting impression on all those who have ventured through it.

After many footprints left behind through forest paths and mountain tracks, our teams complete the Adventure Academy Tsitsikamma Hike feeling exhilarated, though understandably also quite quite stretched.
